Changes to Maasai Mara National Reserve Park Entry Fees (2024 Update)

The Narok County Government, which manages the world-renowned Maasai Mara National Reserve, has introduced revised park entry fees effective 1st January 2024.

These updates apply to all visitors and are part of ongoing efforts to boost conservation funding, enhance infrastructure, and strengthen wildlife protection in one of Africa’s most iconic safari destinations.

Maasai Mara Entry Fees 2024 – Non-Residents

Adult (inside reserve) USD 100 USD 200
Adult (outside reserve) USD 100 USD 200
Child (9–17 years) USD 50 USD 50
  • Children 8 years and below: Free of charge

 Ticket Validity

  • Guests staying inside the reserve: Entry valid for 24 hours
  • Guests staying outside the reserve: Entry valid for daylight hours only (must exit by 6:30 PM)

East African Resident Entry Fees

(Applicable to residents of Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, and South Sudan)

Maasai Mara Vehicle Entry Fees

In addition to individual park tickets, all vehicles entering the reserve are charged based on type and capacity:

Why the Increase in Maasai Mara Park Fees?

The revised Maasai Mara park fees are designed to support sustainable tourism and conservation initiatives, including:
