Back to the lodge in the evening.

Day 10: Mto wa Mbu cultural Tour

After breakfast you will be driven to Mto wa Mbo located between Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro crater. Here you will get a chance to meet the local inhabitants of Mto wa Mbu and see how they provide for themselves. Part of the tour is experiencing how Tanzania’s lands are farmed and how its products are being processed. You’ll learn about the uses of different bananas and get a chance to try Tanzania’s very own banana beers, a local brewery of the Chagga tribe.

Furthermore we learn about some other unique trades and craftmanships that are only practiced by certain tribes in Tanzania, like the wood-carving skills of the Makonde tribe. You’ll also get a chance to visit a local school and church to see what the daily life in Tanzania looks like.

For those seeking a deeper immersion in nature, a full-day drive is available, allowing exploration of larger territories with a packed picnic lunch. Whichever option you choose, you’ll return for dinner and enjoy a cozy overnight stay under the starry sky.

 Day 14: Full Day Serengeti National Park

Today, you will embark on two thrilling game drives in the Serengeti, immersing yourself in its breath-taking wildlife. The first drive is from 6:15 AM to 9:00 AM, showcasing nature’s awakening before breakfast. The second drive runs from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, offering a chance to observe peak animal activity during the golden hour. Serengeti National Park is Tanzania’s largest and most iconic park, known for its vast grassy plains and the annual wildebeest migration where thousands traverse distances for greener pastures. Day 15: Masai Mara

After breakfast, you will be taken to the airstrip for your flight to Kenya. Upon arrival, you will be picked up and driven to your luxury camp. After lunch and a short rest, you’ll enjoy an afternoon game drive. In the evening, return to the lodge for dinner. Afterward, you can relax around a fireplace or retire to your room.

The Masai Mara is the most famous reserve due to its large wildlife population. It is one of the few places where all the “Big Five” are found. This park also boasts 470 bird species and rare animals like roan antelopes and nocturnal bat-eared foxes. You will also see the beautiful lilac-breasted roller, Kenya’s national bird.

Day 16: Masai Mara

Our morning game drive starts soon after breakfast when we again head deep into the wild in search of its thrills and spills with packed lunch. A balloon safari can be arranged for this day. You can expect immense multitudes of the Big Five, hippos, giraffes, antelopes, gazelles, impalas, and wildebeests. The birds aren’t shy either as the kingfisher, hornbill, secretary bird, and Kori bustard are expected to appear. At noon, we gather under the signature acacia tree in the Mara for a delicious packed lunch. Afterwards, our game drive continues with an afternoon to evening game drive. Every turn within the Mara reveals new sets of attractions to admire. If we are not fussing over the wildlife, sunburned Savannah, or bird variety, then we are admiring the scenery.

Return to the lodge in the evening.

Day 17: Masai Mara to Nairobi

After breakfast you will depart the lodge and drive leisurely towards Nairobi. On arrival you will be taken to the famous carnivore for complimentary lunch. You will later be dropped at your city hotel or the airport according to your departure timings.
