10 Days Kenya and Tanzania Tour detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara

You will be met by our company representative in the morning at your hotel or the airport. After a short briefing depart for Lake Nakuru National Park. On the way, you will have a brief stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint where you will enjoy the wonderful views before proceeding. On arrival, enter the park and have game drives as you head to your lodge. At around midday, check in at the lodge and have lunch then relax. In the late afternoon, you will continue with gam drives. The reserve has abundant wildlife.  Back to the lodge in the evening.

Day 2: Full Day Masai Mara 

After breakfast depart Lake Nakuru and drive to Masai Mara National park. On arrival, check in at the lodge and have lunch then relax. In the late afternoon, you will embark on your first tour of the action packed Masai mara. The reserve has abundant wildlife and the chances are high of a big 5 encounter. Back to the lodge in the evening.

Day 3: Full Day Masai Mara 

After breakfast you will depart for a full day game drive in the Masai Mara. A dawn balloon safari can be arranged on this day. You will visit various places in the expansive Masai Mara. The wildlife reserve is one of Africa’s most famous parks and it’s undoubtedly one of the continent’s best places to see animals. At around midday you will have your packed lunch under acacia tree. After lunch you will continue with game drives. Back to the lodge in the late afternoon. After dinner you can relax under a bonfire regaling in Masai tales and entertainments or retire to your room.

Day 4 :Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast at the lodge, you check out and drive through the southern part of Masai Mara reserve as you proceed to Serengeti via Tanzania border at Isebania/Sirari. You will be assisted by your driver-guide to clear customs. You will have en route lunch as you head to Serengeti where you will have game drives as you head to the camp. The Serengeti astounds visitors with its vast population of wildlife.

Day 5: Serengeti  National Park 

After breakfast, you will enjoy full-day game drives with lunch break. Serengeti National Park offers a rich and diverse ecosystem with the chance to see the Big 5 – lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and rhinoceros. Your experienced guide will provide insights into the animals and natural history. In the late afternoon,return to camp for dinner and campfire stories.

Day 6 : Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast you will have game drives in Serengeti national park. Later return to the lodge. After lunch depart for  Ngorongoro Conservation area arriving in the late afternoon. You will check at the lodge and relax as you wait for the tour tommorow.

Day 7: Full Day Ngorongoro crater

After an early breakfast you will be driven to the crater where you will descend to the floor of the Ngorongoro crater for a day of game viewing. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest inactive, intact and unfilled volcanic caldera. It has a massive floor of about 260 sq kms with a depth of over 2000 feet. The game drive on the crater floor will show you a lot of animal action. The African elephant, buffalo, Black rhino, Hippos, Hyenas, Cheetahs and Lions are found in plenty. Around midday have a picnic lunch at the beautiful Hippo pool. Later you will continue with the tour which includes a steep ascend to the top exit of the crater. You will arrive at your lodge around sunset.

Day 8: Amboseli National Park

After breakfast you will be transferred to the Namanga border where you will clear customs and enter Kenya and be driven to Amboseli National Park. The park is famous for its scenery with a backdrop of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, which dominates the landscape, and open plains.

On arrival, you can refuel with some delicious lunch before taking off for an exciting evening game drive in the late afternoon. You will encounter wildebeest and zebras in their full splendor, proud lions, sly hyenas, diverse antelopes, and last but not least – majestic elephants against the stunning backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. Nature lovers can explore five different habitats here ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli, wetlands with sulphur springs, the savannah and woodlands.  

Wrap up your day by retiring back to our camp in the evening for dinner and a comfortable stay overnight!

Day 9 : Amboseli National Park

On this day, you will have morning and afternoon game drives in the  park. Amboseli offers opportunities such as viewing of large herds of elephants, Mt. Kilimanjaro, the big five and visiting the observation hill which allows an overall view of the whole park especially the swamps and elephants below. The swamp below the observation hill also hosts many elephants, buffaloes, hippos and a variety of water fowls like pelican, Egyptian goose, contemporary Masai culture and indigenous lifestyle. Back to the lodge in the evening.

Day 10: Nairobi

Depart the lodge after breakfast and head to Nairobi. On arrival, you will be hosted for lunch at the famous carnivore restaurant before being dropped at your hotel or the airport.
