BRIEF SAFARI ITINERARY

Day 1. Fly to Kisumu from Nairobi and visit the Impala sanctuary

Day 2. After breakfast  tour Ruma national park the whole day.

Day 3. Drive to Masai Mara where you will have an afternoon game drive.

Day 4. Full day game drive in Masai Mara

Day 5. Drive to Lake Nakuru where you will have an afternoon game drive

DAY 1: KISUMU

Depart Nairobi in the morning by a flight to the vibrant lake city of Kisumu. On arrival, you will be picked up and taken to the Impala sanctuary. The sanctuary hosts impalas, the rare Sitatunga antelope as well as big cats, buffaloes, giraffes, cheetahs and several primate species. At around midday, check in and have lunch. After lunch you can relax at the hotel with optional boat rides in the lake at your own cost.

Back to the hotel in the late afternoon.

DAY 2: KISUMU

After breakfast you will head to Ruma National Park through Kendu bay and Homa bay towns. On arrival in the park, you will enjoy game drives and chances of seeing Africa’s rarest antelope called the Roan Antelope. The park is the only protected area in Kenya where the globally threatened blue swallow is recorded.  At around midday, you will have packed lunch. After lunch continue with game drives. Depart the park around 3PM and drive back to Kisumu. Spend the rest of the evening at leisure.

DAY 3: KISUMU TO MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE

Depart Kisumu early after breakfast and to the stunning Masai Mara National Reserve. Enjoy a scenic journey with the sunrise illuminating lush landscapes. Upon arrival, check into your cozy lodge and savor a delicious local lunch. After lunch and short rest proceed for your first thrilling game drive through this renowned safari destination, rich in diverse wildlife and breathtaking views. With anticipation building, you’ll explore the wild, spotting majestic elephants and lions basking under a sunset.

DAY 4: MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE

After breakfast, you will depart the lodge with a packed lunch for a full day of game drives in Masai Mara. An early balloon safari can be arranged today at an extra cost. You will traverse the reserve, encountering various wildlife, including the Big Five. Around midday, you will take a break and have lunch under an acacia tree. Continue with game drives after lunch. In the late afternoon, as you head back to the lodge, you have the option to visit a Masai village at an extra cost. Once at the lodge, you can relax around a bonfire or head to your room for the night.

DAY 5: MASAI MARA TO LAKE NAKURU

After a hearty breakfast, you will depart from the stunning Masai Mara and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, enjoying picturesque landscapes along the way. Upon arrival, you’ll have time to take in the park’s natural beauty before checking into your lodge. After lunch featuring delicious local cuisine, we’ll embark on an exhilarating game drive through Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its vibrant birdlife and diverse wildlife like rhinos and lions. The rest of the morning is yours to relax and enjoy amenities like the swimming pool. After lunch, get ready for more game drives in Amboseli National Park before returning to the lodge in the evening.

DAY 9: AMBOSELI TO TSAVO WEST NATIONAL PARK

After a relaxing breakfast, we’ll drive to Tsavo West National Park, enjoying scenic views along the way. Upon arrival, we’ll enter the park and embark on a game drive to soak in breathtaking landscapes and spot wildlife as we head to the lodge. After settling in and having lunch, we’ll prepare for a late afternoon game drive when animals become more active before evening. As dusk approaches, we’ll return to our lodge under a vibrant orange and pink sky, reflecting on an unforgettable day in one of Africa’s iconic national parks.

After your meal, you’ll be dropped off at the airport to for your international flight home. You can still be dropped at your city hotel.
