DAY 1: ARRIVAL NAIROBI

DAY 2 NAIROBI TO SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE
After breakfast, you’ll begin your safari in Nairobi with a scenic drive to Samburu National Park, passing through lush tea, coffee, and sisal plantations. Upon arriving at Samburu National Reserve, prepare for an unforgettable experience. It is home to some of the most unique wildlife on Earth! Thanks to the nearby Ewaso Nyiro River, you’ll find plenty of shady trees and water sources attracting these amazing animals. You’ll cross into the Northern Hemisphere as you enter Samburu, a memorable moment!
After lunch, you’ll embark on afternoon game drives in this pristine wonderland. In the evening, you’ll return to the lodge for dinner and a good night’s rest.

DAY 3: SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE
After breakfast, you’ll be ready to explore the wonders of Samburu National Reserve, a rugged landscape nourished by the beautiful Ewaso Nyiro River. This special area north of the equator is home to unique wildlife like oryx, gerenuk, Somali ostrich, Grevy’s zebra, and reticulated giraffe. Don’t forget to embrace your inner nature photographer! As midday approaches, you’ll return to your lodge for lunch and a short rest. Once the sun cools off, head back for more game drives.
In the evening, you’ll return to your lodge for dinner and a cozy night until morning arrives.

DAY 4: Ol PEJETA CONSERVANCY
After breakfast, depart Samburu and drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy. On the way, you can stop at the equator marker. You will arrive in time for lunch. After a short rest, you will proceed with a late afternoon game drive. Serena Sweetwaters Tented Camp is located in a prime spot in Ol Pejeta Conservancy. The conservancy is one of the few places where you can have night game drives at an extra cost. Other optional activities include lion tracking, camel rides, and bush lunch/dinner. Interaction with the only two remaining northern white rhinos needs to be arranged in advance.

DAY 5: FULL DAY Ol PEJETA CONSERVANCY
Today, you will have morning and afternoon game drives exploring Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Ol Pejeta is a privately owned conservancy, overlooking the peaks of Mount Kenya. It boasts a great number of wildlife, including all the Big Five animals: elephant, rhino, lion, cheetah, and buffalo, among other game. The conservancy also has a special sanctuary that shelters several rare and endangered species, including the black rhino, Grevy’s zebra, Jackson’s hartebeest, and chimpanzees. The chimpanzee sanctuary is the only one in Kenya. It is a home for orphaned and abused chimpanzees, rehabilitating them to help them learn to live independently in their natural habitat.

DAY 6: ABERDARE NATIONAL PARK
Depart Ol Pejeta after breakfast and drive to Aberdare National Park. Upon arrival, check in at Aberdare Country Club and have lunch. Afterward, drive through the park, observing wildlife on the way to The Ark Safari Lodge. Here, you can watch wildlife from the comfort of your hotel. The Ark has four viewing areas to observe the constant animal activity at the waterhole and salt lick. There is also a ground-level hide, perfect for the discerning photographer. From this vantage point, you can take photos of animals at eye level.

DAY 7: ABERDARE NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Aberdare Country Club, where our guide will pick you up for game drives in Aberdare National Park. Return to the lodge around midday for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a nature walk in Aberdare Country Club Game Sanctuary, which spans over 1,300 acres and is rich with wildlife, birds, flora, and fauna. You might encounter various monkeys, such as Colobus and Vervet monkeys, as well as many bird species. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 8: LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK
Depart Aberdare Country Club after breakfast and head to Lake Nakuru National Park. Upon arrival, enter the park and enjoy a game drive as you head to your lodge located inside. Arrive in time for lunch at the lodge. After a short relaxation period, continue with game drives in Lake Nakuru National Park. The park is famous for its flocks of greater and lesser flamingos, which number around 2 million and turn the lake pink, earning it the nickname “the pink lake.” The park is also home to endangered rhinos and Rothschild giraffes. Other animals include African buffalos, zebras, impalas, olive baboons, vervet monkeys, waterbucks, hyenas, jackals, and hippopotamuses, among many others.
Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

DAY 9: LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, you will embark on game drives in the park, encountering wildlife. As midday approaches, return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch and some rest, continue with more game drives. Return to the lodge in the late afternoon.
During the drives, you will see the park’s popular residents, including the famous white and black rhinos. Other animals in the park include lions, leopards, flamingos, Egyptian geese, waterbucks, giraffes, hyenas, buffalo, baboons, and vervet monkeys.

DAY 10: MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE
You will leave Lake Nakuru in the morning after an early breakfast and drive to Masai Mara National Reserve, arriving in time for lunch. After lunch and a brief rest, you will embark on an afternoon game drive, marveling at what Masai Mara has to offer. All members of the Big Five are found in this reserve. Other animals include cheetahs, servals, hyenas, bat-eared foxes, black-backed and side-striped jackals, hippos, crocodiles, baboons, warthogs, topis, and elands. Various bird species, such as eagles, vultures, ostriches, storks, little grebes, pelicans, cormorants, and darters, are also present. In the evening, you will retire to your lodge, have dinner, and fall asleep to the sounds of the African bush.

DAY 11: MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE
After breakfast, you’ll leave the lodge with packed lunches and embark on a full-day game viewing in Africa’s finest park. A balloon safari can be arranged for early in the morning. You will drive to various locations in the expansive Masai Mara National Reserve. Around midday, you’ll break for lunch under an acacia tree. After lunch, continue with game drives. In the late afternoon, you have the option of visiting a Maasai cultural village as you head back to the lodge in the evening. After dinner, you can relax around a bonfire under a star-filled sky, enjoying drinks, or retire to your cozy room for the night.
