DAY 3: MERU NATIONAL PARK

The park’s landscape is quite varied, featuring everything from expansive plains with numerous rivers to woodlands on the Nyambeni mountain slopes, northeast of Mount Kenya. You’ll have the chance to see elephants, hippos, lions, leopards, and cheetahs. Plus, there are some rare antelope like the Lesser Kudu and the tiny dik-dik—an elusive little antelope standing just twelve inches tall. Meru also boasts some of the largest herds of buffaloes, giraffes, gazelles, and hartebeests around.
